A leading Civil Engineering and Rail Infrastructure Main Contractor are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator for a permanent position near Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including risk, value management and cost control;
  • Managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximise value for money;
  • Subcontractor management;
  • Contract administration (NEC forms of contract).
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying;
  • Experience in rail infrastructure, although any civil engineering background will be considered;
  • At least 3+ years' post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying;
  • Ability to handle works in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the UK's largest contractors and get exposure to interesting and prestigious projects.

Projects can typically include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as Roads, bridges, footbridges, tunnels, underbridges, flood alleviation/repairs, embankments and rail platforms etc.
