Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at ASSYSTEM. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for undertaking cost planning and estimating across all aspects of construction for major projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with project teams to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Understand and absorb information from technical documents.
  • Assess labour, plant, and material requirements.
  • Produce quantities for estimates in line with WBS.
  • Identify value generation opportunities.
  • Undertake benchmarking.
  • Monitor project costs against estimates to provide feedback and support benchmarking data generation.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Good communication, analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Candidate must be proactive and self-driven.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills.
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience estimating.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Qualified to a professional standard in cost planning, estimating, and quantity surveying through membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent body.
  • Educated to degree level.

Additional Information:

  • SC Cleared to start.
  • Sole UK National.
  • 2-3 days/week in a Glasgow office.
