Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious graduate to join our Catastrophe Modelling team as a Risk Quantification Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with data analysts to develop and maintain catastrophe models, as well as providing analytical insights to clients.

About the Role

The role involves:

  • Working with clients to understand their needs and requirements, and developing solutions to meet those needs;
  • Collaborating with data analysts to develop and maintain catastrophe models, and providing analytical insights to clients;
  • Evaluating and validating catastrophe models, including sensitivity testing and model methodology review;
  • Carrying out research and collaborating with colleagues and research partners to provide clients with insights into latest catastrophe risk.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a 2:1 degree in mathematics/statistics, finance/economics, sciences/technology or similar quantitative field. You should also have programming skills in Python or R, and desirable qualifications include a PhD/master's degree or equivalent experience.
