Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Job Summary:

Nicholas Associates is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, manual machines, laser etching machinery, ovens, and furnaces
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Design and implement improvement projects to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve maintenance goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of control systems, including NVQ, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND, and appropriate apprenticeships

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a maintenance or engineering environment
  • Strong electrical bias with experience working with identification, design, and installation of improvement projects
  • Good communication skills across multiple platforms
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Maintenance supervision experience
  • Experience working with or alongside heat treatment equipment
  • Experience working with a CMMS
  • Forklift truck license
  • IPAF license
