Environmental Compliance Specialist

Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team in Rochester or Albany, New York. As a key member of our Environmental Compliance Practice, you will support projects throughout New York State and the Northeast Region.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess the technical skills and experience required to lead, support, and execute environmental compliance and permitting projects. You will work with all levels of technical expertise, from entry-level team members to subject matter experts, and engage in a continual learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job tasks.
- Conduct and assist with various environmental regulatory compliance tasks, including preparation of environmental plans and calculations for environmental regulatory reports.
- Provide regular and consistent communications to clients, regulators, and project teams on key issues and developments.
- Maintain regular contact with clients and assist in developing proposals for compliance-related work.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 6+ years of experience in the consulting or compliance industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational environmental compliance regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to travel locally approximately 15% per month, with short-duration trips (office, remote, in-plant) depending on project needs.
- Knowledge and familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations, with training provided by Ramboll as necessary.
