Salary Information

The salary for this role is £86 - £90 per day, offering an excellent rate of pay for a teaching assistant position.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Learning Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a relevant teaching assistant qualification and previous experience working with children, particularly those with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support students with complex needs in a school setting
  2. Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop individualized learning plans
  3. Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  4. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  5. Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with complex needs
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Two references working with children
  • A current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
