Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Evri's Barnsley Hub. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and assets.
About the Role
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for deterring, detecting, and investigating loss within designated Hub locations. You will work closely with the Loss Prevention Team to support the reduction of losses, including client freight, through internal theft.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site access controls, including visitors and contractors, to ensure a secure environment.
- Support processes to safeguard parcel performance, including high-value goods.
- Patrol and report on potential risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct security checks on outbound gatehouse to prevent unauthorized access.
- Accurately record all activity on the correct documents, in line with company procedures.
- Comply with and report on all Health and Safety issues in accordance with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Hub Loss Prevention team to reduce damage and mismanagement of parcels.
- Instill a culture of handling parcels with care to minimize losses.
