Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Level 3

Location: Sheffield

We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Convert Engineering Design intent into Manufacturing Engineering Data Packs (MDP) and Manufacturing Instructions (MI) for Operations use.
  2. Identify development opportunities and areas for continuous improvement.
  3. Contribute to the management of Quality and SHE Systems, for Manufacturing Engineering processes and documentation.
  4. Build effective internal and cross-functional relationships to achieve Project requirements and support business cases.
  5. Assist in the deployment of training & risk assessments associated with Manufacturing Engineering sub-discipline.
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of relevant Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering standards and SHE regulations.
  2. HNC or equivalent, with experience of working in a Manufacturing Engineering role OR Foundation degree with some practical experience.
  3. SAP, TeamCentre or similar PLM systems experience.

About the Team:

As part of BAE Systems Platforms and Services sector, Weapon Systems (UK) designs, develops, manufactures, and supports artillery systems, naval guns, and provides engineering capability to the wider BAE Systems business. We are looking for innovation, commitment and drive to help define the future of Weapon Systems capabilities. In this role, you will specifically support in the manufacturing of the M777 towed artillery system. There will also be opportunity to travel across the North of England, supporting various sites.
