Academic Learning Mentor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic English graduate to join our team as an English Academic Mentor. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience and contribute to the academic success of our students.
Job SummaryThis English Academic Mentor role is a full-time, term-time only position, commencing in September and running until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in English and a passion for teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the option to teach KS5
- Receive mentorship and training from our outstanding English department
- Assist students in applying to Russell group and Oxbridge universities
- Support students in a classroom setting, one-to-one, and through small group interventions
- Contribute to the academic progression of students
This English Academic Mentor role is based in Tower Hamlets, where our schools are Ofsted 'Outstanding' and have a strong reputation for academic excellence. Our schools have a supportive and collaborative environment, with a team of dedicated teachers and support staff.
