Job SummaryThis English Academic Mentor role is a full-time, term-time only position, commencing in September and running until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in English and a passion for teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the option to teach KS5
- Receive mentorship and training from an outstanding English department
- Assist students in applying to Russell group and Oxbridge universities
- Support students in a classroom setting, 1:1, and through small group interventions
- Contribute to the academic progression of students
We are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background in English, ideally from a Top 20 UK University. Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
