Job Summary

Finitas is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Head of Delegated Underwriting and Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Underwriting and Delegated Underwriting teams, ensuring consistency and best practices across all teams and platforms involved in Delegated authority underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Effectively create consistency and best practice across all teams and platforms involved in Delegated authority underwriting in the following areas:
    • Onboarding of new and existing Coverholders/MGA and Delegated Claims Authorities.
    • Manage both Underwriting and Operational audits.
    • Credit control
    • Bordereaux reporting and follow-up
    • Exception reporting
  • Vendor and Regulatory Management
    • Help with the required management of vendors and regulators.
  • Reporting and Analytics
    • Manage reporting capabilities for KPI metrics, feedback to Underwriting teams on a regular basis.
  • Internal Communications
    • Responsibility for reporting to internal committees such as the Customer Review Committee, the London Executive Committee and other underwriting forums generally.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Monitor emerging and developing regulatory changes within the market and identify amendments.

Requirements

  • A background in underwriting delegated business, with strong understanding of the financial, claims and premium processes.
  • Must be from a Lloyd's/London insurance market background.
  • Strong people management expertise.
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels including senior stakeholders and external parties.
  • Understanding of the Lloyd's market, regulatory environment and Coverholder network.

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work in our London office 4 days a week.
