About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Autism Support Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a primary school assistant teacher, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to a pupil with autism in a Key Stage 2 class.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and school staff. You will work closely with the pupil to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, and provide additional support to help them access the curriculum.

Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to the pupil with autism in the classroom and during break times
* Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil, parents, and school staff
* Implement the pupil's IEP and contribute to regular reviews and updates
* Work closely with the SENco to identify and address any areas of need or concern
* Support the pupil's transition between lessons and activities
* Assist with preparing materials and resources for lessons
* Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and achievements

Requirements:
Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
UK Drivers licence (Desired)

Salary and Benefits:
A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive working environment.
