We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who require mental health support in educational settings. As a Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
You will work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to identify and address mental health issues, and provide support and guidance to help children and young people develop the skills and strategies they need to manage their mental health.

- Provide support and guidance to help children and young people develop the skills and strategies they need to manage their mental health
- Support schools in developing strategies and activities to promote emotional well-being and positive mental health
- Work with families to support emotional well-being within the home
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of children and young people's mental health needs, as well as experience of working with children and young people in educational settings. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
You will need to hold a relevant qualification, such as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner or Child Wellbeing Practitioner qualification, and have a valid driving license and access to a car for business purposes.
