Company Overview

We are seeking dedicated Mental Health Recovery Workers to provide emotional support, advice and guidance within a central support hub in Sheffield.

About the Role

This temporary, ongoing assignment offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people who are struggling to manage their mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support, advice, and guidance through face-to-face, telephone, and video interactions.
  • Assess situations to determine risk and the needs of individuals accessing support.
  • Actively participate in individual risk assessments and reviews.
  • Develop and implement appropriate action plans/safety plans to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage individuals to recognise, understand, and manage factors affecting their mental wellbeing and physical health.
  • Collaborate with a range of partners and external agencies to meet individual needs and ensure safety and effective service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering advice and guidance for adults with enduring mental health needs in a professional setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence working with external agencies such as NHS professionals, housing providers, multi-disciplinary agencies.
  • A commitment to working 6pm to 12pm on a rolling rota.
