Digital Content Strategist

The role of Social Media Officer at the University of Kent is an exciting opportunity for a skilled content creator to join our Communications team.
As a Social Media Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that engages our audience and promotes the University's brand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing high-quality content for our social media channels, including text, images, and video.
- Developing and implementing a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and maximum engagement.
- Collaborating with the News & Press and PR Campaign teams to create social-specific angles on University news and activity.
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of our core social media feeds and ensuring they are up-to-date and engaging.
- Acting as a point of contact for social media queries and providing advice and support to colleagues and the wider University.
The ideal candidate will have excellent content production skills, including basic photography and video shooting and editing skills, as well as an understanding of brand and the ability to create content in line with brand guidelines.
