Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CDM Advisor to join our award-winning construction consultancy in Colchester.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a competent and outgoing individual to work with our team of experienced Project Managers, Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, & Health & Safety Advisors. As a CDM Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients and designers on health and safety matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfilling the role of Principal Designer as defined by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • Preparing Pre-Construction Information Packs, and Health & Safety Files
  • Preparation of Construction Phase Plans
  • Carrying out Site Audits
  • Preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Policies and Operating & Maintenance Manuals
  • Provision of support with accreditations (CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, etc.)
  • The ability to offer H&S & Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training (desirable)
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Association of Project Safety Membership
  • Proven track record of hands-on safety advice
  • Thorough understanding of current health & safety and fire legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised, with the ability to balance competing priorities and workload
  • Strong IT skills
  • A team player with a strong client focus who can motivate and inspire people to work safely
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full driving licence
