Process Controls Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Process Controls Engineer to join our team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. As a key member of our process manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing control systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the upkeep of process control systems and applications
- Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are in place
- Support Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in developing and programming control sequences
- Utilize industry standards for programming DCS, ESD, and SCADA HMI packages
- Examine and translate user requirements and equipment-related process control queries into appropriate solutions
- Develop and update standards for new or modified control system architecture
- Ensure change management practices are followed when altering the control system
- Provide input on new technologies and stay up-to-date with technology development and its application
- Develop recommendations for infrastructure improvement
- Assist with operational implementation of process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
- HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Controls (EC&I) or similar
- Relevant experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software, and configuration
- Emerson DeltaV experience essential
- ABB System6 experience advantageous
- Experience in continuous manufacturing process environments, preferably in a top-tier COMAH site
- Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian
- Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, and ethernet networking
- Working for a world-class global leading organization
