We're growing and seeking a Technical Lead to join our team. As a Technical Lead at Redgate, you'll be able to develop the skills you want the way you want, and we'll support, advise, and encourage you. You'll have the freedom, flexibility, and trust to excel at what you do, including enabling you to spend 10% of your time on personal development projects.

You'll work with bright people who are experts at what they do. Technical Leads at Redgate are vital to the success of our teams and the quality of the products we sell. The role requires a mix of skills; team leadership, technical leadership, people management and customer focus.

Requirements
  • Promotes an agile and lean approach to software development, encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to ensure required work gets done and the team gain skills and experience.
  • Able to have open and honest discussions of their people's performance. Gives constructive feedback and difficult feedback that lands nicely and drives improvement.
  • Cares for their people; is primarily concerned with their people's well-being and is considerate of their feelings and needs.
  • Excellent skills using a modern object-oriented language – we write code in a plethora of languages, including C#, Java, TypeScript and Go.
  • Technical awareness (or a good understanding) of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
  • You thrive in a highly collaborative team and are enthusiastic about engaging with customers, designers, and product managers as necessary to create great products and services.
  • Experience as a people manager with proven success of running 1:1s, caring and helping everyone in your team, coaching and mentoring to support their growth and progress.
