We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Accounting & Finance team in our Stevenage office. The successful candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of financial processing, including invoicing, payments, and expense reports.
Key Accountabilities:
- Process invoices and expense reports with accuracy and efficiency
- Handle payment runs, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with company policies
- Maintain and update supplier details in the system
- Resolve supplier queries in a timely manner
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
