Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist - Learning Disability and Autism Unit

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Learning Disability and Autism Unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with learning disabilities and autism, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for patients with learning disabilities and autism
  • Collaborating with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Leading and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Experience working with patients with learning disabilities and autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
