Job Title: Career Development Officer

De Montfort University Leicester is a globally-minded institution with a focus on delivering quality teaching and learning. We are seeking a Career Development Officer to join our team and contribute to our employability strategy.

About the Role

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) role that involves working in partnership with the Health and Life Sciences Career Development Manager to develop collaborative links between the Careers Team and De Montfort University students, graduate recruiters, faculties, and the Students' Union.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement student-facing activities that promote and encourage employability and work experience predominantly in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
  • Deliver careers workshops, employer events, and other initiatives to support students' employability and improve the university's employability outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate comprehensive and up-to-date management information and labour market intelligence relating to employability activities throughout the student journey.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering career workshops and information, advice, and guidance to students, informed by knowledge of the graduate employability market. Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders is vital, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and experience of marketing and/or events management.
