About the Role

This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who are eager to start their career in mechanical maintenance. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' overhead gantry cranes.

You will work closely with our experienced team to maintain, repair, and upgrade the equipment, using your knowledge of electrical and mechanical plant equipment. Your excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn will enable you to make a valuable contribution to our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair overhead gantry cranes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work at heights and climb ladders.
  • Will to travel to designated college for training.
  • Commuting distance (30 miles) from the Branch location.
