Engineering Trainee

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled individual to join our team as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. As a key member of the Konecranes Demag UK Limited team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading our customers' overhead gantry cranes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical plant equipment, including motors, switchgear, cables, pumps, valves, gearboxes, pipework, and control systems. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and upgrade our customers' overhead gantry cranes.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths, English, and Science, at Grade C/4 or above.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to designated college for training.
• Live within commuting distance (30 miles) of the Branch location.
