About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Break Charity, working with young people in a residential children's home setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young residents, helping them to overcome their past traumas and build trust with our therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build positive relationships with young people and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, helping them to develop their own identity and overcome previous traumas.
  • Encourage new experiences and activities that promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Collaborate with our therapeutic services to ensure that young people receive comprehensive support and care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
Requirements
  • Full, valid manual driving license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and understanding of the needs of young people in care.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
