Job Summary

Leidos UK & EUROPE is seeking a highly skilled Head of Commercial Operations to join our team. As a key member of our commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strong commercial and contractual programme leadership, driving strategic commercial initiatives, and ensuring overall programme compliance with commercial roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of strategic commercial activities in close collaboration with Programme Director and Finance Director.
  • Support strategic commercial initiatives as directed by Leidos UK Business and Programme Director.
  • Draft and negotiate commercially complex contract change proposals.
  • Understand and scrutinize the financial performance of the programme, identifying target areas for improvement.
  • Lead contractual interactions with the Customer on strategic commercial issues.
  • Ensure that the financial aspects and impact of the contract are clear to all parties.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the customer commercial/contracts team.
Requirements
  • Must be a working contract manager, taking an active role in the performance of the contract and proactively identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Support role in regular, intensive technical and financial governance meetings in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong comprehension of programme technical performance metrics and financial status.
  • Liaison with other Leidos operating units and corporate departments where applicable.
  • Provides commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of the contract.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and identify risks within contractual terms and programme delivery.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communicator keeping internal management appraised of key commercial issues.
