We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Mechanical Engineering Trainer Assessor at Wigan & Leigh College. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for inspiring students to excel and achieve the highest standards in the sector.

To succeed in this role, you will require a minimum of a level 3 mechanical engineering qualification and experience in using assessment qualifications such as TAQA, A1, or V1. Familiarity with e-portfolio systems is advantageous, but not essential.

We estimate that this role comes with a salary of £38,000 - £48,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure reflects the market rate for similar positions in the region and takes into account the requirements and responsibilities associated with this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting apprentices through their learning journey, including workplace coaching, lesson delivery, and preparation for end-point assessments. They will also conduct progress reviews, set action plans, and provide guidance on personal development and wider skills topics.
