Lead Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Mechanical Project Manager to spearhead our client's Automation and Digitalisation agenda in Wigan and Bury. With an international manufacturing company looking to revolutionize their operations, you will play a key role in driving technological evolution, enhancing safety, efficiency, and agility across their operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Excellence: Utilise performance systems and Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise processes and drive innovation.
- Supply Chain Management: Cultivate intimate supplier and customer relationships, seamlessly linking Demand and Supply.
- Production & Quality: Collaborate with the Plant to maintain high-quality production standards and strive for world-class manufacturing.
- Engineering & Maintenance: Identify and initiate machinery replacements or expansions, formulating investment proposals for senior approval.
- Financial Management: Partner with Finance to produce and monitor the annual Capital budget, ensuring projects align with Capex expectations.
- People & Team Management: Foster open communication, effective training, and a family culture aligned with company values.
- Leadership Role: Lead strategic projects and drive automation and digitalisation initiatives.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Process engineering or Mechanical engineering position, within the Manufacturing sector.
- Must be Degree or HND qualified in mechanical or process engineering.
- Must have relevant hands-on post-graduate working experience in manufacturing.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is up to £50,000 (rising to £60,000 after successful completion of development), offering a competitive package and opportunities for career growth.
