Job Title: Catering Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at West Lothian College.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages in our Campus Café, as well as assisting with cleaning and washing up duties. This is a part-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold snacks and beverages in the Campus Café
  • Assist with cleaning and washing up duties
  • Organize trays for buffets and assist with food preparation
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Good general education and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
  • Previous experience in a café environment and knowledge of cash handling is desirable
  • Elementary food hygiene qualification or willingness to obtain
Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. Further details regarding sessional working arrangements are included within the attached Summary of Conditions of Service document.
