Job Title: Senior Clinical Psychologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic clinical psychologist to join our team in the Attachment and Trauma Team. The successful candidate will work with children with complex trauma, attachment difficulties, and a background of abuse and neglect who are presenting with a range of neurodevelopmental, mental health, and behavioral difficulties.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive assessments and providing evidence-based treatments to children and young people and their families. They will also provide input to other services across the department, which provides opportunities for additional experiences.

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS/HCPC.
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council as Practitioner Psychologist.
  3. Supervisor training completed.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. ADOS-2/ADI/3Di trained.
  2. Experience and expertise with looked after and adopted children, children and young people with PTSD and complex trauma.

Skills and Abilities:

Essential Skills:

  1. Experience of working with clinical complexity and distressing and emotive information.
  2. Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
