Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Assistant to join our team at TPF Recruitment. As a Tax Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients with their personal tax needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Tax Matters: Assist with tax computations for private clients, including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Advisory Work: Support senior tax professionals with advisory work across capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, estates, and other areas.
  • HMRC Liaison: Deal with HMRC correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients as needed to ensure their tax needs are met.
  • Form P11Ds: Prepare and submit form P11Ds on behalf of clients.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure clients are advised of impending tax deadlines.
  • Team Support: Assist junior team members as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AAT or ATT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience, with at least 13 years of experience working in an accountancy practice environment or personal tax position.
  • Skills: Experience in preparing tax returns for manager or partner review, and proficiency in relevant tax computation software.
