Job Title: Finance/HR Administrator

At JH Mechanical & Electrical Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Finance/HR Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our finance and administration team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and HR tasks, ensuring the accurate recording and reporting of data, and driving process improvements across the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company's financial transactions, including bank, credit card, and supplier account reconciliations, sales invoicing, and credit control.
  • Administer HR tasks, including employee timesheets, payroll, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of employee data, training, and qualifications.
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to prepare financial and HR reports, and implement system improvements to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
Requirements:
  • AAT, ACA, ICAS, or above, or working towards.
  • Proficient in Office 365, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Xero, or another accounts software (e.g., Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll).
  • Experience of SimPRO or other CRM systems.
  • DBS checks.
  • Ability to drive/have own car (advantageous).
What We Offer:
  • 25 days per year (April – March) + bank holidays.
  • Reports to the Head of Finance and deputises for the Head of Finance where required.
