Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at a market-leading engineering business in Norfolk. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing Analogue and Digital Electrical circuit designs and solutions to support the development and life cycle of our systems range.

Working closely with our Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including analogue and digital hardware, and occasionally working on software under the direction of dedicated software engineers. Your primary focus will be on new design projects, but you will also be required to support existing products and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop electrical systems, including analogue and digital hardware.
  2. Work closely with the Chief Engineer to develop circuit designs and solutions.
  3. Develop test specifications for designs and support interdepartmental testing of equipment.
  4. Support proposals by creating bid documents and compliance matrices.
  5. Present technical information to audiences with all levels of technical experience.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of circuit design, simulation, layout, testing, and evaluation for prototypes and production units.
  2. Ability to create interface and equipment specifications.
  3. Ability to create test specifications for designs and support interdepartmental testing of equipment.
  4. Ability to support proposals by creating bid documents and compliance matrices.
  5. Willingness to travel and work offsite, both onshore and offshore.

Desirable:

  1. Knowledge of current CE regulations.
  2. Degree/HND in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
