Electrical Engineer / Workshop Engineer / Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Workshop Engineer / Service Technician to join our team at Verto People. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical designs for bespoke marine power systems at our workshop in Norfolk.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with excellent working knowledge of three phase electrics, power electronics, and controls. They will also be highly proficient in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide electrical designs for marine power systems using AutoCAD.
  2. Assemble and wire control panel suites and boxes and electronic euroracks to agreed specifications.
  3. Identify and confirm job specifications from drawings and work instructions.
  4. Understand cable size and components.
  5. Provide constructive feedback to the design team on electrical performance of designs.
  6. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
  1. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated systems.
  2. Experience as an Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Electro Mechanical Engineer or similar.
  3. Excellent working knowledge of three phase electrics, power electronics, and controls.
  4. Electrical Engineering background in control system products.
  5. An engineering qualification, 18th edition, C&G 2391 or similar electrical qualifications are advantageous.
  6. Must be commutable in and around Norfolk.
