Role Overview



Wishmore Cross Academy is a special school in Surrey, catering to boys aged 7 to 16 years with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. As an Education and Safeguarding Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our pupils.

About the Role



We are seeking an experienced professional to monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, identifying areas of concern and developing strategies to reduce levels of absence. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities



- Monitor and report on whole-school attendance data

- Identify key areas of concern and develop strategies to improve attendance

- Work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to maintain a safe and supportive environment

- Utilize data to inform decision-making and drive improvements in attendance and safeguarding practices

Requirements and Qualifications



The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, including experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL. They must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
