We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a busy SEN school environment. The successful candidate will have experience working with students aged between 11-19 years who have severe and complex learning difficulties, including visual impairment, physical disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, hearing impairments, and multi-sensory impairments.

The role of the Teaching Assistant will be to be proactive and assist SEN students that struggle to perform daily activities due to their individual needs, working within a small team and 1:1 with them, ensuring they are able to meet their learning objectives.

The school has an innovative approach to learning and offers a real sense of school community. Everyone within this school has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, ensuring that they are protected from harm.

Applicants are required to have an Enhanced DBS that must be on the update service or be willing to apply for one through us. If you are new to the UK or a resident under 5 years, you must have a visa that indicates you are eligible to work in the UK and have a police check from your country of origin.

This role is on a day-to-day supply basis, which can lead to a long-term role for the right applicant.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, health, and enhanced DBS checks in accordance with the Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education Legislation.
