About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Character TD to join our team at DNEG, a world-leading visual effects and animation company. As a key player in Animation, you will be responsible for creating animation rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles that bring an animated story to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement animation rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles using Maya.
- Collaborate with animators to bring characters to life with strong knowledge of anatomy and movements.
- Use acting skills to communicate ideas that an audience can empathize with.
- Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise.
- Work closely with the team to ensure high-quality animation delivery.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of Maya and experience working on high-level animated content.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, and composition, with excellent drawing skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of timing, posing, acting, and storytelling techniques.
- Ability to perform visual and analytical problem-solving in 3-dimensional space.
- Well-versed in the principles of animation.

- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Highly motivated and adaptable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take notes and direction.
