Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at AKT II in Shoreditch, London. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out structural surveys and provide initial advice on any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare conceptual and outline designs for structural schemes with support from the wider team.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations to British Standards and Eurocodes using relevant 3D software packages.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications for Tender purposes.
  • Respond to Client requests for information.
  • Support the production of Construction information for issue to Contractors.
  • Visit sites during the Construction phase to monitor progress and provide advice to Contractors.
  • Day-to-day support to colleagues from other disciplines within the office.
Requirements:
  • Good degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience, competency, and flexibility to rise to challenging situations and take on responsibility appropriate to their capability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take on greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as professional skills develop.
