Site Manager

To excel as a Site Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team under the guidance of the Project Manager to deliver projects to the highest standards. Your contributions will be instrumental in enhancing the overall customer experience and satisfaction. You will embody the company ethos in managing employees and upholding professional duties. Additionally, you will demonstrate an understanding of complex project and planning information, planning over a longer period, and managing interdependent variables. Effective time management strategies will be employed to handle a range of tasks, including managerial, administrative, and technical input. You will develop strategies to manage the quality of workmanship of both direct employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly activities for up to 3 to 4 weeks in advance, including resources and labour in line with project information and the construction programme.
- Produce a programme to support your plan based on the PM's project programme using basic programming software to compile this and as a tool to show progress, record delays and variations.
- Ensure that all planning and programming is shared with the relevant team members, including subcontractors, and is monitored and reviewed.
- Contribute proactively to weekly team planning meetings and maintain excellent levels of communication with the client and their representatives.
- Manage your team in line with HR policies and the Company values.
- Manage all activities on site related to the project with some guidance from the Project Manager, but increasingly able to demonstrate initiative and self-reliance.
- Manage the site with the minimum of disruption to the client and ensure that team members, including subcontractors, conduct themselves appropriately at all times.
A Trade Apprenticeship, Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate, Intermediate programming software, and awareness of standard pre-construction processes and relevant SHE regulations are required. Effective time management and previous managerial experience on projects of a value up to approximately £5 million or of similar complexity are also essential.
