Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our client's talented team at a beautiful Michelin-starred Inn in Cumbria. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and pastries that exceed our guests' expectations.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Pastry Chef to take their career to the next level and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be working closely with the Head Chef and other members of the kitchen team to create innovative and delicious desserts that showcase your skills and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute dessert menus that are both creative and commercially viable
  • Prepare and cook high-quality desserts and pastries to a consistently high standard
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all desserts are made to the highest standard and are presented in an attractive and appealing way
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
  • Contribute to the development of new dessert ideas and menus

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
  • Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
