Exciting Opportunity for a Projects Lawyer

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council

Hybrid Working Arrangement

We are seeking a skilled Projects Lawyer to join our legal team at Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various major projects in the region, including the Alhambra Shopping Centre and The Glassworks.

Key Responsibilities:

The Projects Lawyer will be responsible for:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and advising on construction contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Drafting or reviewing development agreements, framework agreements, and bespoke standard terms and conditions.
  • Advising on consultancy agreements, professional service contracts, grant agreements, collateral warranties, PCGs, bonds, and other related documents.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction law and a strong understanding of the projects lifecycle. They will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £36,648 - £47,420 per annum, as well as a hybrid working arrangement that allows for a balance between remote and office work. We are proud to be working with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council on an exclusive basis for the recruitment into their legal team.
