A key role in Olleco's logistics operations, providing vital assistance to our drivers and helping us deliver high-quality services to our customers.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Drivers Mate based at our Southampton depot. As a member of our team, you will play an active part in challenging the climate crisis by supporting our daily deliveries and collections of cooking oil.

The Job Description

  1. Daily Deliveries: You will accompany our driver on daily rounds throughout the region, delivering fresh cooking oil to restaurants and collecting waste cooking oil for loading back onto the lorry.
  2. Customer Interaction: You will interact with up to 50 customers a day, providing an effective and helpful service, which is essential for building strong relationships with our clients.
  3. New Location Identification: You will aid the driver in locating new locations that require delivery, ensuring our services reach a wider audience.
  4. Administrative Tasks: You will fill out round sheets and invoices with quantities and prices, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the smooth operation of our depot.
  5. Unloading and Loading: You will unload used cooking oil from vehicles back in the yard and load vehicles with fresh stock ready for the next day, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently and safely.
  6. Teamwork: You will work closely with other members of the team to ensure the site runs efficiently and effectively, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

We Are Looking For:

  • A hardworking individual with a desire to progress and gain knowledge, who is willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • A person with a reliable attitude, who is committed to delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • A driver with a car or moped licence, who is comfortable driving early hours (between 04:00 and 06:00 am).
  • Please note, this role involves manual handling, and we will provide training and medical screening to the successful candidate.
