Job Opportunity: Specialist Autism Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Autism Mentor to join our team at Randstad Student Support. As a Specialist Autism Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder in Dundee, helping them to overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one guidance and support to students with autism spectrum disorder
  • Help students build confidence and develop skills in organisational management and time management
  • Identify opportunities for students to develop new skills and experiences that will benefit them in future roles
  • Listen to students and help them manage stress, low mood, and anxiety levels

  • Experience of working with autistic clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students
