Job Title: Environmental Consultant

Location: Horley office, Surrey

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our expanding planning and rural teams at Morepeople 01780. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions for our clients.

About the Role:

  • You will conduct ecological surveys and prepare reports to support planning applications, focusing on enhancing opportunities to deliver various levels of biodiversity net gain.
  • You will advise project teams on ecological legislation and manage subcontractors.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Ecology or related field and MCIEEM qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in ecological practice, with significant experience in conducting ecological surveys, preparing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, protected species surveys, and Ecological Impact Assessments.
  • Solid understanding of UK and EU wildlife legislation, strong communication skills, and ability to manage workload effectively.
