Residential Support Worker - Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Residential Support Worker in Peterborough. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will provide individualized support to young people with complex needs in a secure, welfare-only, all-female children's home.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Empathetic Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, responding effectively to their needs and emotions.
  2. Relationship Building: Form positive relationships with young people and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
  3. Communication Skills: Develop strong interpersonal skills, including report writing and incident recording, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work alternate weekends, bank holidays, and overnight stays (sleep-ins on a rota basis).
  5. Physical Activity: Participate in physical activities and contribute to the overall well-being of the young people in our care.
  6. Experience and Qualification: Possess previous experience in childcare or knowledge of child protection issues and procedures, with a strong understanding of the NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP).
