Alecto Recruitment is working with their client to find a Mechanical Fitter to join their Waste Treatment Plant in Knaresborough on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance of mechanical assets, including conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and cranes, to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
- Fabrication work and general workshop duties, including operating workshop machinery for fabrication and refurbishment tasks.
- Preventative and reactive maintenance work, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Participation in planned outages, ensuring efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
- Communication of problems and concerns through line management to ensure quick and effective resolution.
- Assistance in delivering Maintenance Team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing to the team's success.
- Compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.

- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience working with various mechanical systems, including conveyor belts, valves, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fabrication work, and technical proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents to guide maintenance and repair work.
- Experience in writing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safety and compliance during maintenance operations.
