Job Title: Clinical Scientist (Audiology)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Scientist to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical support in paediatric audiology, with opportunities to work on service improvement projects and research within the department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing clinical support in paediatric audiology, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 settings
  • Working closely with the audiology clinical and administration teams, as well as other professionals
  • Developing and implementing service improvement projects
  • Participating in research activities within the department

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Ability to manage own time effectively
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach
  • Good understanding of paediatric audiology principles and practices

Working Arrangements:

The role will primarily involve working at Royal South Hants Hospital in central Southampton, with occasional travel to outstations in the surrounding area. The trust operates a condensed week, with 37.5 hours spread over 4 days.
