Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Scientist to join our Nuclear Medicine Physics team. As a Medical Physics Expert, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing our Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET services, as well as our expanding Radionuclide Therapy service.

About the Role

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide complex scientific advice and support the development of imaging protocols. Your expertise in diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET applications, including radionuclide therapy and dosimetry, will be essential in ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and develop Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET services
  • Contribute to the development of imaging protocols
  • Provide complex scientific advice to the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care through expertise in radionuclide therapy and dosimetry
Requirements
  • HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist
  • RPA2000 Certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience in diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET applications, including radionuclide therapy and dosimetry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
