Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the class teacher to provide support to children with their learning
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils while they undertake their work and ensure a constructive and positive environment is maintained
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom in a professional manner, adhering to safeguarding procedures
  • Carry out small group work and work with children with additional needs
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies
Requirements:
  • A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their education
  • A calm and reassuring nature, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • A positive attitude and a flexible approach to work
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
