Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Location: Secondary SEN Provision, West Park, Plymouth

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our secondary SEN provision. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs in a secondary school setting. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff and specialists to deliver individual and group support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to secondary students with a variety of SEN, adapting activities and materials to individual needs.
  • Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor students' progress, adjusting support as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each student.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with secondary-age students with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting young people with additional needs.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 per year
