Job Summary:

">

We are seeking an experienced commercial contract management professional to join our team on the HS2 project. As a senior quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of the project, including contract administration, supply chain management, cost capture and control, and commercial reporting.

">

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the quantity surveying field, preferably in the MEP or building sector. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field and membership of a professional institution (MRICS or MCInstCES) would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Main contract management and administration">
  2. Supply chain management, including contract administration">
  3. Cost capture and control, including completion of the CLR">
  4. Commercial reporting">
  5. Cash management">
  6. Liaising and negotiating with the clients commercial and project teams">
  7. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders">
  8. Providing guidance and support to the commercial team">
  9. Assisting the commercial manager in preparing and issuing periodic valuations and reports">
  10. Maintaining commercial records as per contract requirements">

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience as a senior quantity surveyor">
  • Experience managing MEP or building packages">
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field">
  • CSCS card">
  • Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen">
  • Negotiating and team-working skills">
  • Technical minute-taking and collation experience">
  • Legal, contractual, and construction knowledge">
  • Procurement and contract strategy implementation experience">
